U.S. auto sales tumble 26.1% in September further affected by chip shortage
U.S. new vehicle sales of 1,007,486 units for the month of September represented a 26.1% decrease from September 2020 as production dropped at North American plants due to the global shortage of semiconductors.
There were 25 selling days in September 2021, the same as in September 2020.
