Jeeps produced on 3 shifts at new Mack Assembly plant, while other plants idled
On June 11, Stellantis announced it is extending downtime at some of its plants, largely due to the semiconductor shortage, but its newest Mack Assembly plant in Detroit is operating on three shifts, five days a week with roughly 4,900 employees building the new three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee L.
