Ford further pauses production in Cologne, Saarlouis plants due to chip shortage
On April 30, Ford announced extended shutdown periods for two of its German plants due to the ongoing semiconductor shortage.
The Cologne plant, which had been idled between April 21-23 and April 28-30, will stop producing Fiestas until early July, except for one week at the end of June.
