Wuhan allows operation of pickups on certain roads from December 21

On December 17, 2020, the Wuhan Traffic Management Bureau announced that it would cancel the traffic restrictions for pickups on certain roads in the city from December 21. The measures will be valid for 5 years.
Specifically, pickups with Wuhan licenses will be allowed to operate on roads (including main roads, side roads and ramps) which ban the passage of vans within the area enclosed by the Second Ring Road in the city. However, pickups are not allowed to operate on these roads from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the morning and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the afternoon, and are under a 24-hour ban for passage through the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, Jianghan Bridge, Wuhan Yangtze River Tunnel and Wuhan Yangtze River Road-Rail Tunnel.
According to the road traffic management standards (GA802-2019) issued the Ministry of Public Security of China that stipulate motor vehicle categories, a pickup is a cargo transportation vehicle with a long cab and a maximum passenger capacity of 5 people with driver included. Additionally, a pickup should have a cab with a maximum height of 2,100mm. The top of the side panels or cargo compartment of a pickup should have a maximum ground clearance of 1,500mm. Maximum GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of a pickup should be 3,500kg.
