Spanish car sales up 2.3% in November

On December 2, the automobile manufacturers association of Spain (ANFAC) announced that passenger car registrations of 93,158 units in November 2019 represented an increase of 2.3% over November 2018.
Passenger car sales of 1,152,419 units in the first eleven months of the year represented a 5.7% decrease from the same period in 2018.
SEAT sales decreased 0.1% to 8,564 units, Volkswagen brand sales increased 0.5% to 6,898 units, Peugeot sales decreased 10.4% to 6,869 units, Toyota sales increased 19.2% to 6,588 units and Kia sales increased 26.0% to 5,803 units in November 2019.
The best-selling cars in November, in order of popularity, were the SEAT Leon, Dacia Sandero, Nissan Qashqai, Toyota C-HR and SEAT Arona.
Of all vehicles sold in November, gasoline vehicles had a 56.0% market share, diesel vehicles had a 28.4% share and other vehicles had a 15.6% share.
Private car sales in November decreased 8.1% to 51,188 units, business sales increased 21.0% to 35,485 units and rental car sales increased 7.1% to 6,485 units.
