Ford’s first quarter 2019 overall sales down 1.6%, though profitable SUVs, trucks set records
On April 4, Ford Motor Co. announced its first quarter 2019 sales results, as it has recently adopted GM’s practice of not issuing monthly sales reports.
Ford’s total sales of 590,249 vehicles were down 1.6% from the same quarter in 2018.
Sales of its higher margin Ford and Lincoln SUVs were up 5.0% to 213,086 units,....
