Ford to shut Michigan Assembly five months to retool for Ranger, Bronco
Ford Motor Co. will temporarily shut down the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan and lay off 2,000 hourly employees in early May to retool the facility for production of the 2019 Ford Ranger and 2020 Ford Bronco.
The temporary layoffs will last until October 22, and not eliminate any jobs.
