Supply chain: GWM Haval H6 (Thailand)
The Great Wall Motor (GWM) "Haval H6," produced in Thailand, is a mid-size crossover SUV that has been manufactured at the Rayong plant since 2021. It underwent a facelift in March 2025, featuring refreshed interior and exterior designs. According to a GWM Thailand press release in April 2025, the local content rate is 45–50%. Key components are sourced from companies within the GWM Group: engines are supplied by HYCET Engine System (Thailand); seats and instrument panels by Nobo Automotive Parts; wire harnesses by Mind Automotive Parts; and drive battery modules by Svolt Energy Technology (Thailand). Meanwhile, ABS actuators are supplied by Bosch; air duct acoustic insulators by the Thai subsidiary of Singapore-based Armstrong Industrial; and weatherstrips by the Thai subsidiary of Inoue Rubber. While the GWM Group is continuing to build its supply structure through the entry of Chinese suppliers into Thailand, it is also utilizing non-Chinese suppliers with existing production bases in Thailand. By selecting suppliers based on component characteristics and procurement conditions, the company appears to be working to expand local sourcing and improve procurement efficiency.
Launch Schedule for Haval H6
In Thailand's C-SUV market, Haval H6 has established a strong position as one of GWM's key models, supported by its early introduction of electrified powertrains. The H6 was launched with an FHEV in 2021, followed by a PHEV in 2022, allowing GWM to expand its presence in Thailand's rapidly growing electrified SUV market. Following a facelift in Mar. 2025, the Haval H6 continues to offer both FHEV and PHEV powertrains, with the model expected to undergo a redesign in 2027.
