BYD Launches Mid-size Sedan "Qin MAX"

BYD launched the Qin MAX in August 2026 as an upper-tier model above the Qin L. The Qin was introduced in 2013 as a sedan in the Dynasty series, followed by the upgraded Qin PLUS in 2021 and the Qin L in 2024 as an upper-tier model above the Qin PLUS, expanding the Qin series lineup. By keeping its price in the CNY 100,000 range, BYD aims to strengthen the model's competitiveness and recover sales by attracting younger customers.

Supply chain: Toyota Yaris Cross (Indonesia)
The Toyota Yaris Cross, manufactured in Indonesia, is a compact crossover SUV produced at TMMIN's Karawang Plant No. 2 for the Asian and Latin American markets. A hybrid model is also available. It went on sale in Indonesia in June 2023. Cumulative production from January through June 2026 totaled approximately 23,000 units. Sourcing local content rate has reached 80%. Drive battery is produced locally at Karawang Plant No. 2. Additionally, blind spot monitor sensors are supplied by Denso; display audio by Pioneer (Indonesia); rear lamps by Ichiko Kogyo (Indonesia); and plastic parts by PT. Sugity Creatives, the local subsidiary of Toyota Auto Body.
