On July 26, Avtovaz announced that Avtovaz and its subsidiaries will work on the modernization, repair, and maintenance of equipment, as well as improving working conditions during the corporate vacation from July 29 to August 18, 2024.

In total, more than 10 thousand works are planned. It will modernize the equipment in the LADA Vesta welding shop for the LADA Aura project. The LADA Niva assembly line will also be optimized for repair work in cast iron production and modernize the engine assembly line.

For the LADA Iskra project, work will be carried out in the welding and assembly shop. It will prepare areas for the formation and delivery of kit kits to the assembly conveyor, and modernize test stands for finished cars.  The Lada Izhevsk automobile plant will modernize the body painting chamber. 

At the VIS-Auto enterprise, an inspection of the painting complex will be carried out and prepared for launch. During the corporate vacation, it is planned to form a reserve of auto components for a quick launch and further uninterrupted operation of the enterprise. The launch of all Avtovaz assembly lines after the vacation is scheduled for August 19, 2024.

On July 25, the Industrial Development Fund, Russia announced that the Togliatti-based Steel Wheels Plant has increased its capacity to produce stamped-welded wheels for passenger cars and commercial vehicles by 2 million units per year. Now, the total capacity is 3.5 million units. 

The new robotic lines installed at the plant are the first in Russia that allow the production of wheels with a diameter of 18 to 19 inches. It plans to supply stamped-welded wheels to AvtoVAZ and automobile manufacturing companies. Stamped steel wheels are made mainly from domestic raw materials and materials. The localization level exceeds 95%. 

Investments in production expansion exceeded RUB 500 million. Of these, RUB 337 million were provided by the federal Industrial Development Fund.

On July 24, Chery announced that it has revised ARRIZO 8, the D-class sedan in Russia. The vehicle is now available in three variants, Active, Comfort, and Prime, with prices starting from RUB 2,600,000.

The revised ARRIZO 8 features new modifications and is equipped with a 1.6 TGDI gasoline turbocharged engine coupled with a robotic 7-speed DCT gearbox, delivering a power output of 150 hp and a torque of 275 Nm, achieved between 2000-3800 rpm.

The Comfort variant is equipped with electric folding mirrors and a dual-zone digital control system featuring 12.3-inch screens each. While, the Prime variant offers 18-inch two-tone aluminum alloy wheels, six airbags, a 6-way electric driver's seat, and a 4-way electric passenger seat.
