Visteon, ECARX and Qualcomm deliver smart cockpit solutions for Geely
-Geely has selected Visteon's SmartCabin solution, developed in collaboration with ECARX and Qualcomm. The new smart cockpit solution used in Geely's new Xing Yue L SUV combines Visteon's third generation SmartCore cockpit domain controller and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Automotive Cockpit Platform with ECARX's Smart Cockpit System. Visteon's domain controllers will be the first Visteon domain controllers to go into volume production, and will provide users with a variety of HMI functions in conjunction with Qualcomm's platform. Visteon's domain controllers will also be able to extend the platform's lifecycle by enabling the latest service offerings through OTA functionality. (From a press release on June 23, 2021)
Joint Development smart cockpit solutions with Qualcomm and ECARX
-Visteon, connected car technology leader ECARX, and Qualcomm Technologies, announced an initiative to develop intelligent cockpit solutions for a variety of both conventional and EV vehicle platforms starting in 2021. Visteon will incorporate the 3rd Generation SmartCore cockpit domain controller with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Automotive Cockpit Platforms, creating an infotainment system that delivers information to drivers and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Visteon has worked with Qualcomm Technologies in joint development since 2018. ECARX's core products include proprietary vehicle chip-sets, 4G intelligent cockpits, autonomous driving systems, HD maps, big data, and IoV (internet of vehicles) cloud platforms.
