Information and Communication

-In February 2009, Denso Corporation announced that Denso (China) Investment Co. Ltd. (DICH), the Group's regional headquarters in China, will acquire from Denso Create Inc. (Aichi, Japan) all shares of Denso Create Shanghai Inc. effective April 2009. With this reorganization, Denso Create Shanghai will be renamed Denso Software Shanghai Co., Ltd. and continue its current software development business for mass-produced products, particularly vehicle navigation systems. In line with a projected rise in demand for car navigation devices in China, requirements for navigation software development services to support the increasingly sophisticated functions are also expected to grow in the country. The share transfer is intended to strengthen the Denso's development structure by allowing the software development company to work more closely with the designing division of DICH, which controls the Group's Chinese operations. Denso Create Shanghai will further raise its development capacity. It will establish a branch office in Xian, China by the end of the fiscal year 2009, with a plan to increase the number of its employees to 120 from the current 70 by 2012.
