Business Overview

-The Company conducts business operations in two areas: the automotive business and the technical ceramics business (semiconductors, ceramics). The automotive business accounts for 84.2% of companywide sales as of the fiscal year that ended in March 2016.

-The Company's automotive business manufactures spark plugs, glow plugs, automotive sensors, and ceramic engine parts.  

-Over the past few years, the Company has developed and commercialized hydrogen-leak sensors for fuel-cell vehicles (FCVs) and onboard-type exhaust-gas meters.

Oct. 1936 NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd. was established with capital of 1 million yen.
