Recaro Automotive Seating GmbH
-In 2011, as a result of Johnson Controls' acquisitions of the seating business of Recaro Automotive (for passenger cars) and Keiper (for commercial vehicles), the product business unit Recaro Automotive Seating, which belongs to Johnson Controls, carved out to offer complete premium seats for passenger cars and commercial vehicles under its new brand name Recaro.
-The Company consists of three divisions:
- Car seating
- Commercial vehicle seating
-Johnson Controls Inc. holds 100% ownership of the Company.

|1969||The Reutter family sold the Company to the companies Keiper, Hubbert & Wagner, and Metzeler.|
|1982||Built the first JIT plant in Bremen and supplied complete seat mountings for the "Mercedes 190".|
|1983||Keiper bought out all the Company's shares.|
|1990||The Recaro Center in Kirchheim/Teck was opened.|
|1997||As part of the reconstruction of Keiper Recaro GmbH & Co. The Company became an independent company under the roof of the Keiper Recaro Group.|
|2011||Johnson Controls Inc. has completed the acquisition of Keiper Recaro Automotive.|
