Business Overview

-Mahle Group entered the Chinese market in 1997, currently has 22 institutions, including 1 headquarter, 4 engine systems and components factories, 5 filtration and engine peripherals factories, 6 thermal management factories, 2 aftermarket centers, 3 profit centers and 1 joint venture.

-In 2006, the Mahle Group established Mahle Technologies Holding (China) Co. Ltd., which functions as the Group's regional headquarters and technical center in China. MAHLE Technologies Holding (China) Co., Ltd. (MTC) centralizing the key functions such as Product Development, Sales, Human Resources, IT and Finance for all MAHLE production plants currently operating in China. And the Technical Center covers product development for the local market.

-MAHLE produces pistons, bearings, valves, air, oil, fuel filter modules and other components in their over 20 plants in China: Yingkou, Tianjing, Macheng, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shanghai.

-In May 2013, the Company increased its holding in the Behr Group from 36.85% to approximately 51% with the acquisition of all shares in the BWK GmbH holding company (BWK).

-InJun. 2015, MAHLE acquired thermal management business unit from Delphi at USD 660 million. MAHLE became the world's second largest thermal management supplier to the automotive industry.

History

Jan. 1999 The Company established its first plant Mahle Engine Components (Yingkou) Co., Ltd. in China.
July, 2004 Mahle Filtersysteme GmbH of Germany; Mahle Tennex Corp., which is the Mahle Group's Japanese unit; and Shanghai Motor Vehicle & Auto Parts Co., Ltd. Filter Factory jointly established MAHLE Shanghai Filter Systems Co., Ltd.
Dec. 2004 MAHLE Shanghai Filter Systems Co., Ltd. launched operations.
2005 The Mahle Group established Mahle Technologies Holding (China) Co., Ltd. in Fengxian District, Shanghai City.
April, 2006 Mahle China R&D Center started operations.
June, 2006 MAHLE Shanghai Filter Systems Co., Ltd. Fengxian Plant started commercial production.
Jan. 2007 Established MAHLE Tri-Ring Valve Train (Hubei) Co., Ltd.
Jan. 2009 Mahle Bearing Bush (Yingkou) Co., Ltd. merged with Mahle Engine Components (Yingkou) Co., Ltd.
May 2013 Mahle Group increased its holding in the Behr Group from 36.85% to approximately 51% with the acquisition of all shares in the BWK GmbH holding company (BWK).
2014 Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems (BMTS) established Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a wholly owned production subsidiary in Shanghai, China.
Aug. 2014 Shanghai Behr Thermal Systems Co., Ltd. (SBTS), a joint venture between MAHLE Behr GmbH & Co. KG and Shanghai Sanden Behr Automotive Air Conditioning Co., Ltd., opened a new plant in Shenyang, China.
Jun. 2015 Set up a new plant for the Thermal Management business unit in Chengdu, China.
