Business Overview
-The Company is a supplier of drivetrain systems and components as well as undercarriage products and systems for trailer applications for the commercial vehicle, transportation and industrial sectors.
-In March 2011, the Company officially changed its name to Meritor, Inc. from ArvinMeritor. With the divestitures of its light vehicle businesses, the Company is now solely focused on the commercial vehicle and industrial markets.
-As of the fiscal year ended September 30, 2021 the Company is currently organized into two reporting segments:
- Commercial Truck which focuses on providing drivetrain systems and components such as axles, drivelines, braking, and suspension systems for medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
- Aftermarket and Industrial which focuses on replacement axles, brakes, drivelines, and suspension components for commercial vehicle and industrial aftermarket customers. It also supplies systems for military, construction, bus, coach, and emergency vehicle applications.
-The Company’s Commercial Truck segment contributed approximately 75% of the Company's total sales in the fiscal year ended September 30, 2021.
