-MAHLE Holding (China) Co., Ltd. conducts the Mahle Group’s business in China. The Mahle Group entered the Chinese market in 1997. It currently has 23 business locations in China, including two Group headquarters and R&D Centers, four engine systems and components plants, four filtration system and engine peripherals plants, six thermal management factories, two automotive electronics andmechatronics plants, two aftermarket service centers, and one thermal management profit center.
-In 2006, the Mahle Group established Mahle Technologies Holding (China) Co. Ltd., as its China headquarters and technical center in the area adjacent to the joint venture Mahle Shanghai Filter Systems Co., Ltd. The China headquarters carries out functions including development, sales, human resources, and finance for the Chinese market. The Technical Center focuses onproduct development for the local market.
-The Company manufactures products including pistons, valves, air filters, oil, and fuel filters. There are about 20 production sites in China including Yingkou, Tianjing, Macheng, Guangzhou, Chongqing, and Shanghai.
-In May 2013, Mahle increased its holding in the Behr Group from 36.85% to approximately 51% with the acquisition of all shares held by the BWK GmbH (BWK) holding company.
-In June 2015, Mahle acquired Delphi’s thermal systems business unit for USD 660 million. Mahle became the world's second largest thermal systems supplier in the automotive industry.
