Business Overview
-The Company provides products, solutions, and services for energy and data management in the automotive industry. Its portfolio includes standardized cables, special cables, complex wiring systems, cable harnesses, and related components.
-As of the end of the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023, the Company is organized into two operating divisions: Wiring Systems Division and Automotive Cable Solutions. The Company also previously had another division, the Wire & Cable Solutions division. At the end of 2023, the Company completed the gradual disposal of businesses and sub-segments of the Wire & Cable Solutions division, selling Business Group Wire Products & Solutions to a financial investor. Activities and operations of the Company’s current two divisions are as follows:
- Wiring Systems Division: One of the world’s largest providers of complete wiring systems and customized cable harnesses for the automotive industry.
- Automotive Cable Solutions: A leader in standard, special, and charging cables for the automotive industry.
-In March 2023, the Company’s lenders and major creditors, along with Stefan Pierer as a strategic investor, agreed on a financial restructuring plan for the Company, under the German Corporate Stabilization and Restructuring Act (StaRUG). As part of the restructuring plan, a fully owned subsidiary under Stefan Pierer contributed EUR 150 million of new capital to the Company for 100% of its equity. In addition, the Company was relieved of approximately half of its financial liabilities by contributions from creditors through a haircut totaling EUR 708 million. The restructuring plan was approved by financial creditors and shareholders on May 31, 2023, and confirmed by the restructuring court on June 21, 2023. The takeover was completed on August 18, 2023, making Stefan Pierer the sole shareholder of the Company.

-The Company is a privately owned entity, under a sole shareholder, Stefan Pierer. On August 18, 2023, the Company completed the capital measures for its restructuring plan that it had agreed to with its lenders and creditors and Stefan Pierer. This led to the cancellation of the Company’s existing shares and its delisting from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
