History

1932 Guardian Glass Company began as a small windshield fabricator in Detroit.
1968 The Company is renamed Guardian Industries.
2000 Distribution centers open in Mexico City and Colombia
2003 Begins operations of float plant in Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
2004 Begins operations of float plant in El Marques, Mexico.
2006 The Company breaks ground for a new float glass facility in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
The Company breaks ground for a new float glass facility in Ryazan, Russia.
2007 Begins operations of float plant in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
2009 Combined its automotive trim operations to create a new company SRG Global Inc. which supplies plastic parts for auto manufacturers.
2013 Formed joint venture manufacturing facility with alliance partner Faltec Co., Ltd. called FALTEC SRG Global (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to produce radiator grilles, body side moldings and other components.
Formed a new company called Custom Glass Solutions, which provides specific glass solutions for various transportation segments.
Nov. 2014 Divested Guardian Automotive Products, Inc. and Guardian Automotive-E S.A. to Central Glass Co., Ltd.
Jul. 2016 SRG Global opened an Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong, China.
Feb. 2017 Acquired by Koch Industries Inc., through a transaction of the Company's remaining 55.5% of outstanding shares.
Apr. 2025 Atlas Holdings completed the acquisition of the Company’s SRG Global business, which manufactures integrated and functional decorative trim for the automotive industry.
