New production launches

Bluetooth digital key
-The Company announced that its first Bluetooth digital key rolled off the production line at its plant in Liuzhou, Guangxi. The product utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy and multiple Bluetooth antennas to calculate the location of the smart phone in relation to the vehicle. which allows the user to perform keyless entry and start the vehicle with a smartphone. The product also contains an integrated security chip that can be used for secure storage and computing of sensitive information. In addition, this digital key also supports functions such as vehicle locking and unlocking, starting the vehicle, activating the welcome light, and key sharing. With system upgrades, the product will also support functions such as NFC (near field communication) authorization, Bluetooth HADM (high accuracy distance measurement), and UWB (ultra-wideband) positioning. 6.6kW charging and distribution unit
-The Company announced that production of its first 6.6kW charging and distribution unit, CharCON, was launched at its Shanghai plant. Independently developed by UAES, CharCON is a highly integrated on-board power supply product, which combines a bi-directional OBC (on-board charger) with a high power and voltage DC-DC converter. The OBC enables 6.6kW AC to DC conversion and 3.3kW DC to AC conversion. The DC-DC converter features a maximum power output of 3kW. (From a press release dated January 8, 2021)

Independent high-voltage DC converter
-The Company announced that it started production of the CON3evo, the first independent high-voltage DC converter, at its plant in Shanghai. With a modular design, the CON3evo is able to work within a power range from 1.8kW to 3.6kW and can be applied in different models. The CON3evo is the first UAES product assembled and manufactured by utilizing the iDMS (intelligent Dynamic Manufacturing System) solution. (From a press release dated October 19, 2020)

Self-developed electric axle
-The Company started production of its first self-developed electric axle EAU100 at the Taicang plant in Jiangsu Province and began delivery to customers. EAU100 has a maximum power output of 105kW and peak torque of 2,200Nm. As an electric axle platform developed by UAES independently for the Chinese market, EAU offers more compact products by highly integrating drive motors, power electronic controllers and reducers in an integrated design. Based on a platform design concept, EAU covers a peak power of 80-200kW and supports the deployment of electric parking brakes. EAU uses a three-tier functional safety architecture; its functional safety level can be as high as ASIL D (Automotive Safety Integrity Level D) and introduces several new functions. 11kW charging and distribution unit
-The Company announced that it started production of its first 11kW charging and distribution unit, also known as CharCON.. The 11kW CharCON integrates an 11kW onboard charger (OBC), a 2.5kW onboard DC/DC converter and a power distribution unit (PDU). Additionally, the OBC has an output function of 11kW, and is bidirectional, realizing both AC to DC conversion DC to AC power conversion. (From a press release dated August 31, 2020)

Local production of two types of power modules, using Bosch’s packaging technology
-The Company announced the local production of two types of power modules, PM4 and PM4evo, using Bosch’s packaging technology. The maximum power output of the modules is around 200kW. UAES has already adopted the PM4 and PM4evo power modules in its power electronic controllers. (From a press release dated July 18, 2020)

11kW onboard charging and distribution unit
-The Company announced that it independently developed an 11kW onboard charging and distribution unit, which is known as CharCON. The product features a highly integrated design and combines an onboard charger, a high-voltage DC/DC converter and a high-voltage power distribution device. Next-generation electric axle platform EAU
-The Company announced that it developed a next-generation electric axle platform, EAU, to meet the demands and trends of the Chinese market. The two types of electric axles with a platform-based design, the EAU150 and the EAU100, deliver a peak power of 150kw and 100kW, respectively. The EAU enables a maximum efficiency of over 93% and is equipped with an electrical parking brake function. It has a three-layered functional safety architecture, with the maximum functional safety level of up to ASIL D (Automotive Safety Integrity Level D) with several new functional designs being introduced. Collaboration with universities

-The company signed agreements with Tongji University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University to collaborate on personnel training, university-industry cooperation, and resource information sharing. The company signed an agreement previously with Tongji University 6 years ago.

R&D Facilities

-The technology centers in Shanghai, Chongqing, and Wuhu have advanced, world-class laboratories for testing the performance of entire cars, engines, transmissions, and electrically driven products. The centers also research components needed for engine-management systems, transmission-management systems, body electronics, and hybrid-andelectric-powered management systems. In addition, the technology centers develop systems, hardware, and software for the above mentioned products, and calibrate functions on powertrains.

-The company announced that it has been included in the 26th National Enterprise Technology Center List jointly promulgated by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Taxation Administration of the People’s Republic of China. Awards

-The company announced that it received several awards from SAIC Motor Corporation Limited (SAIC Motor) for its products and technologies. Specifically, it received the Technology Innovation 2nd Prize for the development of a next-generation automatic transmission controller platform, the Technology Innovation 3rd Prize for the development of the MED17.8.10.1 gasoline direct injection engine controller platform that complies with the China 6 emission standards, the Invention Patent 1st Prize for the copper rod integrated with a secondary power circuit for power electronic converters, and the Software Award 3rd Prize for the UAESU-chip L9788 drive software. Certification

ASPICE L2 Certification
-The company announced that its independent high-voltage DC/DC converter received ASPICE L2 certification. The product integrates a high/low voltage converter and a high-voltage power distribution unit (PDU). The high/low voltage converter has a rated power of 2.5kW, while the PDU can be configured to include interfaces to facilitate flexible vehicle installation. ISO27001 information security management system certification

Orders

-The company announced that it would supply the CON3evo high-voltage DC converter for the VW ID.4. With a maximum input voltage of 500V, the CON3evo converter has a continuous forward power output of 3kW and a continuous backward power output of 1.5kW. Additionally, the converter has a maximum forward continuous current of 210A and a maximum efficiency level of 95%. The CON3evo converter enables the vehicle to be equipped with a power battery that is free of a pre-charging circuit. It adopts a flat design and offers flexible installation options in vehicles.
