R&D Activities
- The anti-vibration, hose, and urethane businesses are conducting R&D activities on products that satisfy customer needs. They are also testing technology in the CASE segments.
- The new-product development center used a smart-rubber (SR) sensor that it developed in-house, to measure vital body functions such as breathing and heartbeat by sensing body pressure. It is working on commercializing it for use in touch-steering systems and driver-monitoring systems by integrating them in automotive steering systems and seats.
- The Company is working on fundamental parts in anticipation of the next-generation of electric vehicles and fuel-cell vehicles.
- The Company is strengthening industry-academia collaborations in field of heat-management systems, developing flexible and highly functional insulating sheets.
- The Company is working together more with Sumitomo Electric Industry to develop and promote sales of systems that integrate their various products such as wireharnesses, noise-insulation, interior parts, hoses, etc.
