1) Net Sales
-The Company’s sales in the fiscal year ended January 31, 2020 decreased by 1.7% to MYR 225.0 million. The decrease in sales was primarily due to decreased revenue from the Company’s Chassis & Modular Assembly Unit, which was affected from decreased volumes and specific models being phased out. This was offset by a number of new model launches during the year.
Recent Developments
-One of the Company’s targets is to supply new parts for Perodua’s latest generation Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform, which is expected support mass production for future Perodua models. The Company is also securing parts for Proton’s new engine development program and various Geely models. Finally, the Company will continue to explore business opportunities with new customers such as Toyota and Nissan.
Contracts
-In the fiscal year ended January 31, 2020, the Company supplied components for various vehicle models, including the Perodua Aruz, Mazda CX-8, Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi XPander, Naza-Peugeot 3008 and Naza-Peugeot 5008.
-The Company supplies transmission components for Akashi Kikai’s manufacturing plant located in Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The Company also provides components for Mazda’s assembly plant in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia.
Awards
-In 2019, the Company received the Excellent Delivery Vendor award from Perodua.
R&D Facilities
-The Company has a research and development facility located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia.
