Mitsui Kinzoku ACT Corporation Business Report FY ended Mar. 2018

New Company

-In June 2018, the Company established "MITSUI KINZOKU ACT CORPORATION Europe Branch Office" in Issy les Moulineaux, Paris. With approx 10 employees and functions of planning, sales, development, procurement and others.

-In August 2018, the Company will establish MITSUI KINZOKU ACT TANGER MAROC SARL in Free Zone Tanger Automotive City. Its start of operation is scheduled in January 2020.

Recent Development outside Japan

-In March 2018, the Company will consolidate production of side door latches and other products for the North American market at its plant in Mexico. Its plant in Thailand produces some products for the North American market. However, it plans to gradually reduce production of these products there so that all products for the North American market will eventually be produced at the Mexican plant. By consolidating its supply capacity for North American market products at its Mexican plant, the Company will strengthen its cost competitiveness and meet the needs of its OEMs for local procurement.

Investment outside Japan

-In April 2018, the Company will introduce a new assembly line at its plant in China to improve production efficiency. The new production line will start producing side door latches for Japanese OEMs' plants in China in August.
