Financial Overview

-In 2015, the Company sold 476.6 thousand units of multi-cylinder engines, and the sales reached CNY 33.7 billion. Among them, 360 thousand units were sold by Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of the Company, which is listed on the top of the production and sales volume in the industry rankings. And its market share increased among the 14 main Chinese engine manufacturers.

Strategic Alliance

-The Company announced that the Company and Guangxi Yuanzheng New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. have agreed to form a strategic partnership, under which they will closely collaborate on promoting new energy vehicles. (From a press release on December 30, 2015)

-In July 2015, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of the Company, and Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. signed a strategic collaboration agreement. The two companies also announced the custom-made YC6MK engine that they developed jointly for the Chenglong truck. Contracts

-The Company announced that it has received a contract to supply diesel engines for 1,237 city buses destined for delivery to Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region. The company's 4G and 4S diesel engines will be mounted on 648 Yutong buses, 270 Suzhou King Long buses, 164 Xiamen Golden Dragon buses, and 155 AUV buses that will be delivered to Lhasa in March 2016. -The Company announced that it was awarded a new contract to supply 635 engines for city buses operated by Beijing Public Transport. The Company would supply 587 natural gas engines that meet the China V emissions standards and 48 diesel engines that meet the Euro IV standards. R&D facilities

Facility Overview
Guangxi Yuchai Engineering Research Institute -Established in 2007, this research institute conducts its development activities in four divisions: Product engineering division; Electronic control technology division; Test engineering division, and Technology management division.
-The focus of its development activities is on engineering technology as practical business solutions to reduce emissions, and developing diesel engines for passenger vehicles.
Combustion engines Union testing Laboratory -Established in 2009, the new testing laboratory is to conduct research and development on combustion technology for diesel engines; along with R&D activities on automotive noise, vibration, and harshness; and on intake systems.
R&D center -Established in 2011, the center is to conduct joint research and development activities for large turbochargers used in vessels and automobiles.
Practice-Education center

-Established in 2011 with Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST).

Guangxi Diesel Engine Engineering Academy

-Established from 2012 to 2015, the Company is solely responsible for the construction.

Prototype production center of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd.

-Established in 2014, covered 7,000 square meters of land.
-For rapid manufaturing of new products, and the development, experiment and research of new materials, new processes, new technologies and new methods.
-In addtion to the prototype production center, two more workshops are scheduled to be established: one for assembling and one for machining.

Technological Alliance

-The Company and Hunan University signed a strategic partnership agreement in March 2014. In accordance with this agreement, they would expand their collaboration in areas including scientific studies, human resources development, and information exchanges. In addition, the Company would sponsor a scholarship programs for the University’s students specializing in internal combustion systems, and vehicle engineering and management. Patents

-As of Dec 31, 2015, the Company had more than 2,000 patents in total.

-Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of the Company, announced that it has obtained patents for its 10 new inventions including cylinder heads for 4-cylinder diesel engines. The company had filed an international patent application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty and has been awarded the patents in Australia. (From a press release on June 12, 2015)

New products

-In January 2016, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of the Company, announced four new engines that meet the China V emissions standards: the YC4Y22-50 small diesel engine; the YC6K13-50 diesel engine; the YC6JN-60 natural gas engine; and a hybrid bus engine. The YC6K13-50 diesel engine for heavy-duty vehicles offers a maximum torque of 2,550 Nm and has the highest horsepower and torque. (From a press release on January 22, 2016)

Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of the Company, announced two new gas engines that meet the China V emissions standard: YC4FAN engine and YC4EGN engine. YC4FAN natural gas engine was developed for 6-7 meters buses, 4x2 light trucks, and special purpose vehicles such as urban sterilization vehicles. The 2,982cc engine offers 90-115 horsepower. YC4EGN is a 4.73-liter engine delivering 140-170 horsepower. It is designed for 5-8 meters rear-engine buses, 7.5-8.5 meters front-engine buses, and medium-duty trucks. -In July 2015, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of the Company, announced that it successfully completed a bench test for China’s first horizontally opposed diesel engine, which it developed in-house. In addition to the horizontally opposed cylinder layout, this engine offers various advanced technologies. The company expects to seize new business opportunities with the new engine. -The Company announced a number of new engines in January 2015, which included the following products that meet the China V standards:
・YC4Y22-50: a 2.2-liter, 75kW-120kW diesel engine for mini buses, light-duty buses, light-duty trucks, pick-up trucks, SUVs, and MPVs
・YC4S-50: a 3.76-liter, 96kW-125kW diesel engine for medium- and luxury-class trucks (5 to 8 tons) and for buses that are 7 to 8 meters long
・YC4EG-50: a 4.73 liter, 103kW-147kW diesel engine for buses (7.3 to 9 meters long) and 4X2 medium- and light-duty city buses
・YC6MK-50: a 10.3 liter, 220kW-309kW diesel engines for city buses
・YC4FAN-50: a 66kW-85kW natural gas engine for city buses (6 to 7 meters long)
The company also announced its new YC6L-60 diesel engine that meets the Euro VI emissions standards. The engine, which is based on a 6-liter engine platform, delivers 177kW-243kW on 10- to 12-meter luxury buses and 25- to 40-ton trucks. (From a press release on January 26, 2015)
