Business Highlights

New Plant

-November 20, 2011,  ASIMCO Casting (Beijing) Co., Ltd. announced that it will establish a second plant ASIMCO (Tianjin) Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. in Tianjin to manufacture aluminum die-cast products. Construction will be carried out in two phases. The company is investing more than 100 million yuan in the first phase of the project, which will include two major factory building and an office building on 26,000 square meters of land. When the first phase is completed by the end of July 2012, the plant’s yearly production capacity is expected to reach 12,000 tons and sales are projected to reach 400 million yuan. The company has already acquired a piece of land for the second phase of the project, as it is positioning the aluminum die casting solutions business as the core of its long term growth strategy, while automakers are vying to develop and produce lighter vehicles. ASIMCO Casting (Beijing) supplies its products mainly to Ford, Shanghai GM, Peugeot Citroen and Beijing Benz. (From a press release, November 20, 2011)


New contract

-December 8th, 2011, ASIMCO Shanxi completed the casting of 7-case C9 cylinder block and 4-case C9 cylinder head which were developed for SAIC Fiat Hongyan Powertrain, and the annual output of C9 cylinder blocks and heads is estimated to reach 20,000 units.


-Yizheng Shuanghuan Piston Ring Co., Ltd., which is a subsidiary of the Company, has received the following awards from its customers for year 2011: the Excellent Supplier Award from Shanghai Hino Engine, Weichai Power Yangzhou Diesel Engine, Faw Jiefang Wuxi Diesel,  Shanghai Diesel Engine (the eighth consecutive year), Tianjin Lovol Engines, Yunnei Power, Yituo (Luoyang) Diesel Engine and Beiqi Foton; the Excellence in Quality Award from Weichai Power, Deutz (Dalian) Engine, ChangChai; Best Cooperation Award from Jiangling Motors. -Asimco Meilian Braking Systems (Langfang) Co., Ltd.which is a subsidiary of the Company, has received the following awards from its customers for year 2011: the Excellent Supplier Award from Guangxi Yuchai, Tianjin Lovol Engines and Weichai Power;  Best Cooperation in R&D Aword from Faw Jiefang Wuxi Diesel, Deutz (Dalian) Engine, Dongfeng Chaoyang Diesel Engine.(From press release December 2011)

-ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) Co., Ltd., one of ASIMCO subsidiaries, received the Best Quality Award for 2011 from Beijing Foton Cummins Engine. This is the second time for the company to earn an award from the engine supplier, following the Best Supplier Award it was given in 2010. ASIMCO Camshaft (Yizheng) will thereby receive a package of favorable incentives from Beijing Foton Cummins Engine, which include a shortened payment cycle, a two- or three-year supplier contract, and sharing of mold fees in new projects. -ASIMCO NVH Technologies Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of ASIMCO Technologies Limited, won both the Excellent Suppler Award for 2010 from Bosch China and the Excellent Supplier Award from the Global Bosch Group. (From a press release, March 20, 2011)


R&D facilities

-The Company conducts research and development on NVH and other technology related to engines and chassis at its R&D center in Anhui Wuhu.

-The R&D Center for NVH Technology at ASIMCO Technologies Limited has passed the screening conducted by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). The company is expecting to receive the CNAS certificate within the next three months, which will give special authority to the inspection reports issued by the R&D Center. The R&D facility will thereafter be allowed to conduct technical testing for other companies in the industry as a third-party institution (From a press release, January 7, 2012)

-In 2011, ASIMCO Shuanghuan obtained four national patents of new products and technologies.. The company created an Enterprise Academician Workstation to develop high-end piston ring technologies and products to enhance the company's comprehensive R&D capacity.
