2014 ITS WORLD CONGRESS
Mazda3 infotainment system
-Currently in production. Features include connectivity to phones to make and receive calls, send texts, listen to streaming radio, and access social media. System can be controlled through voice commands, the display touch screen, or external knobs and buttons.
OpenAir infotainment system
-Infotainment platform which combines data from driver, vehicle and Cloud to create a unique experience. System uses analytics to customize content for driver and inform OEMs of tendencies and habits.
4G LTE global telematics system
-Telematic Control Unit which is meant to provide a single, global platform solution.
Fusion Cockpit
-Integrates infotainment systems (streaming radio), Cloud information (connected updates), and driver information (digital instrument clusters) into a single platform. Utilizes multiple hardware cores working in parallel for separate systems.
V2X system
-Allows communication between a vehicle and other vehicles or infrastructure at short ranges to provide increased vehicle safety. Tech demonstration showed scenarios in which a car acted on information from another vehicle driving ahead.
Renault NEXT TWO concept
-Connected cockpit concept to be used in an autonomous car. Brings consumer electronic interfaces into the vehicle.
Oasis Cockpit concept
-Cockpit concept which represents a vehicle that is consistently online or connected. Drivers can personalize their vehicle with various user interface options and vehicle settings. Oasis has security measures to prevent unauthorized tampering with cockpit functions.
