Restructuring

-In October 2009, the Company sold its Automotive Structures Business to Benteler Group of Germany. The Business manufactures aluminum components, such as bumpers, roll-over protection systems and crash management systems as well as structural parts. It has eleven production sites globally - main operation in Raufoss, Norway, and other plants in the USA, China, Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark, France and Germany. -In March 2010, the Company closed the doors at its aluminium tubing plant in Adrian, Michigan, USA. In March 2009, the Company announced its decision to close the plant and consolidate its aluminium tubing operations in North America as result of the challenging market situation, particularly in the automotive industry. The operations at the Adrian plant were transferred to its two other sites in Florida, USA and in Mexico. (From a press release on March 1, 2010)

Contracts

-In April 2009, Tonder plant in Denmark supplies coated aluminium tube Hycot(R) to TI Automotive. TI Automotive then delivers the assembled fuel-line to Bentley for its flex-fuel vehicle - the Continental Supersports. (From a press release on Apr 17, 2009)
