JSAE 2006

Exhibits were focused on products related to surface treatment or weight reduction in response to a growing demand for environmental requirements.

Alternative chromatic filming (Hexavalent chromium-free) heat treatment
-Corrosion resistance higher than current hexavalent chromate in response to environmental regulations in Japan and Europe.

IHT (Iwata bolt High strength Tapping screws)
-Surface is harder than conventional tapping screws. Bolting with hard plates including high-tension steel plates is possible.
-Low level content of phosphorous and sulfur in materials reduces possibility of break after bolting.
-Special screw patterns reduce screw torque.
-To be applied to seat components for Honda vehicles starting 2006
