Contracts
-The Company announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply knuckles for Suzuki Motor's Kizashi new sedan. Mass production of the die-cast aluminum knuckles has already begun using Ahresty's New Injection (NI) technology, marking the first application of the NI method to mass-production knuckles. In addition to providing front and rear knuckles, The Company will supply oil pans and cylinder blocks for the Kizashi. (From an article in the Nikkan Jidosha Shimbun on Oct. 27, 2009)
-The Company announced that it has been awarded a program to supply compression rod brackets and other components for the new Nissan Fuga. The Company says it has already started mass production of these products. The Company manufactures compression rod brackets, which function as supporting units of suspension arms, using its proprietary die-casting technology called the "new injection" method. In addition to providing compression rod brackets, The Company is also supplying products including water outlets of cylinder heads and crankcases, engine parts such as oil pans, and transmission converter housings for the Fuga. -The Company announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply die-cast magnesium PCU (Power Control Unit) cases for Honda Motor's new hybrid car"CR-Z". Recent Developments Outside Japan
<China>
-The Company announced a plan to establish its second production facility in China. Construction is underway at a site adjacent to its existing plant in Guangzhou, with production scheduled to begin in November 2009. Investment in this project is estimated to reach 320 million yen. The new facility, which will have a floor space of 6,200 square meters, will increase the Company's die casting capacity to a level comparable to that of major local die casting manufacturers. The addition is expected to increase sales at Guangzhou Ahresty Casting Co. Ltd. (China) to around 4.3 billion yen in 2009, 8 billion yen in 2010, and 12 billion yen in 2011.
