Contracts
-The Company supplies its Xenon headlamp as standard equipment for the new Audi A8. The Xenon headlamp with AFS (Adaptive Front-Lighting System) function and full-LED headlamp are also made available as options. -The Company announced that its Bi-Xenon headlamp with Dynamic Light Assist technology will be offered for the first time in the Volkswagen Touareg that will go on sale in May 2010. Dynamic Light Assist function uses a forward-facing camera to detect vehicles driving ahead as well as oncoming vehicles to optimize the light distribution. (From a press release on May 5, 2010)
Development Outside Germany
-The Songdo Plant of Mando-Hella Electronics (MHE), which is located in Incheon, Korea, began mass producing the MGH60 ECUs for use in antilock brake systems. MHE, which was established as a joint venture between Mando Corporation and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co. of Germany, aims to generate 400 billion won in sales by 2015. Awards
-The Volkswagen Group honored the Company as one of its 18 best suppliers with the "Volkswagen Group Award 2009". The Company was awarded for the production of the headlights and LED taillights for the new Golf 6 GTI. (From a press release on Jun 26, 2009)
-A German company HBPO GmbH received "Supplier Award 2010" from Porsche AG for its front-end module installed in the new Porsche Panamera. HBPO is a joint venture between the three automotive parts suppliers the Company, Behr and Plastic Omnium. (From a press release on April 7, 2010)
