Joint ventures
Joint-venture with Donghua Automotive
In July 2008, the Company and Donghua Automotive Industrial Co., Ltd., which is a joint-venture company between Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. (SAIC) and Yuejin Motor Group Corp., signed articles of incorporation to establish a joint-venture company. Donghua Automotive Industrial Co., Ltd. is a joint-venture company between Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. (SAIC) and Yuejin Motor Group Corp. It was established by reorganizing auto parts suppliers in the Nanjing Automobile Group. (From a press release, July 8, 2008)


Change of joint-venture partner
Delphi transferring Shanghai Delphi Automotive Door Systems shares to Inteva Products
In June 2008, Shanghai Delphi Automotive Door Systems Co., Ltd., a joint-venture company to produce door systems, announced that it has adopted a new corporate name, Shanghai Inteva Automotive Door Systems Co., Ltd., with the Shanghai Municipal Industrial and Commercial Administration giving final approval. It is part of Delphi's project to transfer its interior system and closure system business to the Renco Group. The name change is the inevitable result of Delphi's selling off the 60 percent share it had held in the joint-venture company to Inteva Products, LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Renco Group.


Divestiture
Transferring its shares in Shanghai Valeo Automotive Electric Moto & Wiper System to Nidec
In June 2008, the Company sold the shares it held in Shanghai Valeo Automotive Electric Moto & Wiper System Co., Ltd. to Nidec (Dalian) Limited.
In December 2006, Nidec has purchased Valeo's automotive motor manufacturing subsidiary based in Shanghai. In December 2006 Nidec acquired Valeo's "Motors and Actuators"business (now Nidec Motors and Actuators, or NMA). At that time, Nidec and Valeo had also agreed on Nidec's purchase and sale of the automotive motor business of Shanghai Valeo Automotive Electric Moto & Wiper System.
