Extending joint-venture contract with SAIC
- In October 2008, the Company and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) announced that they will extend the contract covering Shanghai GKN Drive Shaft Co., Ltd., their joint venture, by 50 years; to 2058.
New Plant in Wuhan
- At the Beijing Motor Show held in April 2008, the Company announced that it will establish a new plant in Wuhan. The Group intends to invest 300 million yuan in this large, 44,000-square-meter facility, which will manufacture more than 1 million drive shafts per year for the Donfeng Group, namely, Dongfeng Motor, Dongfeng Honda Automobile, and Dongfeng-Peugeot-Citroen Automobile.
