Business strategy

Aiming for a production capacity of 500GWh by 2025 and 1TWh by 2030
-The Company held a strategy conference in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, where CALB indicated it will focus on establishing an industrial cluster of five industrial base clusters in the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta, southwest region, central region and northeast region. At the same time, the company plans to build overseas bases in Europe, North America, and other regions, and open R&D centers. The company currently has four major R&D centers in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Changzhou, and Chengdu, and will expand its R&D centers globally in the future. Its production capacity is planned to exceed 500GWh by 2025 and to reach 1TWh by 2030. CALB is expected to continue to make its shift to cleaner, lower carbon, and more intelligent energy. In addition, CALB adjusted the businesses of its military and civilian products: military and civilian products businesses will be run separately. The Luoyang division of CALB takes over the military products business; while the civilian products business has been transformed into a joint-stock company and the new CATL brand image has been created. Recent Activities

New battery technology, One-Stop Battery
-The Company announced the launch of One-Stop Battery, a new battery technology. This technology reduces weight by 40% and the number of components by 25% and doubles production efficiency by employing various proprietary technologies. It is suitable for both battery cells and battery packs. Products using this technology, will have a range of 700km for LFP batteries and 1000km for ternary lithium batteries and are scheduled to be launched to market in June 2022. International headquarters being established in Shenzhen
-The company has signed an investment cooperation framework agreement with Shenzhen City and announced that it will cooperate in areas such as technology and innovation. The Company will establish its international headquarters in Shenzhen and contribute to the growth of industry in Shenzhen. The Shenzhen municipal government will fully support the establishment of industries related to the company's international headquarters and facilitate the smooth development of projects in the direction of specialization, marketization and internationalization. Strategic alliances

Xi'an Jiaotong University
-The company has signed a strategic alliance agreement with Xi'an Jiaotong University. In addition to joint research in the field of science, two parties will deepen industry-academia collaboration and support the strengthening of development capabilities and upgrading of smart manufacturing in China. Shenzhen Yanyi New Materials Co., Ltd.
-The company and Shenzhen Yanyi New Materials Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen Yanyi) announced that they have formed a strategic alliance. The partnership involves Shenzhen Yanyi providing the company with products such as electrolytes, lithium salts, additives and future battery materials. Clarios
-The Company announced that it signed a strategic partnership agreement with Clarios, a leading provider of advanced energy storage solutions, which was formerly the Power Solutions division of Johnson Controls. The two companies will jointly develop LFP (iron phosphate) low-voltage lithium battery systems to meet the demand for electrification of automotive systems. Dissolution of joint venture with Continental of Germany

-In April 2021, the registration of the joint venture with Continental Group was canceled. The company that was dissolved was Continental Kaibo Power Power System (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., which was established in cooperation with the low voltage battery system project in 2018.

Certifications
