Business Overview
-The Company is an Italy-based global leader in the research, design, development, and production of braking solutions and technologies and other components for the automotive industry in the original equipment and aftermarket sectors. It provides solutions for passenger vehicles, motorbikes, and commercial vehicle applications. The Company also supplies clutches and other components for automotive racing applications.
-The Company provides components and systems primarily across four vehicle segments:

-In January 2025, the Company announced that it had completed the acquisition of Öhlins Racing, a leading manufacturer of premium, high-performance suspension technology for motorcycles and cars in the original equipment, motorsport, and aftermarket segments. The Company signed an agreement with Tenneco in October 2024, with the transaction valued at USD 405 million. The acquisition enhances and expands the Company’s brand portfolio and solution offerings for its customers. Öhlins Racing had projected sales of approximately USD 144 million in 2024.

1961 | Founded in Paladina (Bergamo, Italy) as a small mechanical machining workshop. |
1960's | Influenced by the impulse of the motor car industry and strong market expansion, the Company specialized in the manufacturing of disc brakes that were exclusively exported to the U.K. |
1964 | A supply contract was stipulated with Alfa Romeo. |
1975 | Enzo Ferrari instructed the Company to conduct a study on a braking system to match the power of Maranello's "Red Streaks". |
