Summary
From July 30 to August 9, 2026, the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), organized by GAIKINDO (Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries) was held at ICE BSD (Indonesia Convention Exhibition Hall) in Tangerang, a suburb of Jakarta. This year's event, the 33rd of its kind, was the largest ever, with 65 vehicle brands exhibiting. According to the organizers, the number of visitors reached 496,378, and the total number of test drives exceeded 26,000, representing an increase of approximately 30% compared to the previous year.
Following last year's momentum, Chinese OEMs continued their strong showing, with several exhibiting a variety of electrified vehicle (xEV) models, including BEVs and PHEVs. Furthermore, Chinese OEMs were strengthening their appeal by offering competitive pricing and a wide range of products.
