Summary
The 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2026 ) was held at the China International Exhibition and Convention Center and the Capital International Exhibition Center in Beijing. April 24 and 25 were Press Days, April 26 and 27 were Trade Days, and from April 28 through May 3 the motor show was open to the public. Many companies from 21 countries and regions exhibited at the show, with 1,451 vehicles on display, 181 of which were world premieres, and 71 were concept cars. The total number of visitors during the period reached 1.28 million.
In the increasingly competitive Chinese market, Japanese manufacturers, no longer showing their former momentum, were promoting vehicles equipped with features that meet the needs of Chinese consumers. Nissan held the global premiere of two new PHEV concept cars. Toyota continued its strong localization efforts from last year. Honda did not hold a press conference at this year's motor show.
Hyundai announced its China strategy and unveiled its new electric vehicle, the IONIQ V, with great fanfare.
