Summary
The "3rd China New Energy Vehicle Overseas Expansion Conference," co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Automotive Sub-Council (CCPIT Auto) and the Guangdong Jiuzhou International Exhibition Media Technology Co., Ltd., was held on March 20, 2026, at the 2026 CIMP AutoEcosystems Expo. The expo was part of the Mobility China 2026 Shenzhen International NEV Technology and Smart Mobility Expo held from March 20 to 23, 2026, at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Under the theme of "Global Co-creation and Ecosystem Symbiosis," the conference aimed to explore overseas expansion strategies for NEVs (New Energy Vehicles), as well as policy and development opportunities in the global market. Approximately 200 related organizations participated including government agencies, industry associations, vehicle manufacturers, and suppliers.
This report focuses on the current status of Chinese electrified vehicle manufacturers in the Thai and Indonesian markets. Drawing on insights from representatives of local dealer groups, this report examines the competitive advantages, key challenges, and future trends in the global expansion of Chinese electrified vehicles (xEVs) from the perspective of localized operations.
