Summary
The 5th ICA Summit, organized by the British event provider InLinum, was held in Frankfurt am Main on April 8th and 9th 2025.
The acronym ICA stands for Innovative, Connected, and Autonomous. The summit examined state-of-the-art approaches, legal frameworks and development/validation processes in the field of software-defined vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems. More than 200 participants had the opportunity to listen to 16 presentations from high-ranking representatives of the automotive industry, including BMW, Continental, Valeo, Nio, Bosch, Hyundai, Lotus, Goodyear and Stellantis.
In addition, four panel discussions and a fireside chat were held on the latest developments in ADAS, connectivity in modern vehicles and the role of software, hardware and AI.
Last but not least, the exhibition area allowed participants to explore the most cutting-edge ADAS and connectivity technologies showcased by BrightDrive, Dekra, POLYN Technology and Valtech Mobility GmbH, and many others.
The summit began with opening speeches from Elena Andolin Müller, Head of M&A and Partnerships at Schaeffler, and Dr. Florian Baumann, SDV Specialist at STMicroelectronics, who both moderated the event over the two days.
The entire event report is divided into two parts. This is part one, which summarizes some selected presentations from Continental, Hyundai Connected Mobility and BrightDrive as well as two panel discussions on consumer trust and the role of LiDAR.
Part two deals with the topic of intelligent connected tires.
