Summary
On January 20, 2022, Asahi Kasei Europe held its first Automotive Tech Day. This virtual event was held live from Asahi Kasei Europe’s new regional headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany.
For the automotive industry, Asahi Kasei Corporation (Asahi Kasei) provides advanced materials and technologies ranging from performance plastics and foams, innovative interior textiles, and materials for the next generation battery, up to sensor solutions and electronics.
Mr. Hideki Tsutsumi, Managing Director of Asahi Kasei Europe GmbH and Senior Executive Officer of the Asahi Kasei Group, officially opened the first Asahi Kasei Automotive Tech Day by welcoming 320 participants from all over the world. He mentioned that Asahi Kasei will be 100 years old this year and that a new mid-term plan will be launched soon. He proudly announced that Asahi Kasei Europe became a Catena-X automotive network (https://catena-x.net/en) member last year.
