The Mazda MX-30, Mazda’s first mass-production EV

 This report will cover Mazda, Subaru, Suzuki, and Daihatsu’s exhibits at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019.

  Mazda exhibited its first mass-production EV, the Mazda MX-30, and the second product in its lineup of next-generation products, the Mazda CX-30 crossover SUV.

  First debuted in 2014, Subaru’s second-generation Levorg made its world premiere. The prototype features an array of new technologies such as the next-generation EyeSight, hands-off driving support via high-precision maps and a locator, and a direct-injection turbocharged engine featuring lean-burn technology.

  Suzuki and Daihatsu unveiled four concept vehicles each based on the themes of the Tokyo Motor Show 2019, including “Waku Waku (Excitement)” and “Wai Wai (Liveliness).” The vehicles are expected to incorporate EV and PHEV powertrains and autonomous driving technology.

  Daihatsu also exhibited the Rocky, a new compact SUV, and the fourth iteration of the Copen mini open sports car, the GR Sport.
