According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in July 2021 increased by 176.4% y/y and 6.0% m/m to 269,000 units.
Sales in the January-July period totaled 1,468,000 units. This reflects an increase of 198.0% over the same period last year.
By vehicle type, the percentage of new energy passenger cars continues to expand, reaching 95.2% of the total.
