 According to statistics of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), sales of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in March 2021 increased by 332.7% year-over-year (y/y) to 224,000 units. This is an increase of 104.8% over February 2021. After December 2020, sales in March were the second highest in the last three years. Sales in the three-month period January through March reached 512,000 units. This represents a 281.7% increase over the same period in the previous year. By vehicle type, New Energy Passenger Cars are growing rapidly, and the proportion of passenger cars among all vehicle types exceeds 95%.
