BMW prepares Steyr plant, Austria for hydrogen fuel cell production by 2028
On June 11, BMW announced that its Steyr plant is starting work on hydrogen technology. After announcing it in 2025, the company is now preparing for production, with an investment of up to EUR 50 million. Test production will begin in 2027, and full production in 2028.
