Rivian developing R2 variants for production in coming Georgia plant

On May 5, Rivian CEO Scaringe acknowledged that his company is working on undisclosed variants of its R2 electric vehicles days after the Q1 earning report and start of volume production of the more affordable SUV at its plant in Normal, Illinois. Rivian plans to start customer deliveries of R2 SUVs around June.
