ACEA warns EU’s 2030 and 2035 CO2 targets out of reach, calls for realistic approach to electrification
On November 7, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) announced that the current growth of BEVs shows that the 2030 and 2035 carbon dioxide targets are now unattainable. Automakers still aim for climate neutrality by 2050 and view electrification as key, but real-world progress is slower.
