JMS 2025: Nissan unveils all-new Elgrand premium minivan, set to launch in Japan next summer
On October 29, Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa presented the all-new Elgrand premium minivan at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 (JMS 2025) held at Tokyo Big Sight. Set to launch in the Japanese market in summer 2026, all-new Elgrand features an imposing exterior design, positioning it as Japan’s flagship minivan. In its interior, it boasts 14.3-inch integrated displays that create a private lounge-like atmosphere.
The all-new Elgrand is powered exclusively by Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER hybrid system, featuring a newly developed, purpose-built engine and modular 5-in-1 electric powertrain for refined performance, quieter operation, and improved fuel efficiency.
Elgrand will be the first model in the company’s global line-up to feature Nissan’s updated e-4ORCE electric four-wheel drive system. It will also feature Nissan’s latest ProPILOT driver assisting technology, which for the first time supports hands-off operation at speeds below 50 km/h.
In addition, Nissan confirmed Japan launch of the Patrol full-size off-road SUV, planned for first half of FY2027. The model has been well received in the Middle East market. Details on Patrol’s specifications and pricing will be announced around the time of its launch.
