Ontario to restrict electricity, critical mineral exports to U.S. if Trump tariffs applied
On December 11, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he is contemplating restricting electricity exports to Michigan, New York and Minnesota if U.S. President-elect Donald Trump imposes sweeping tariffs on all Canadian products, as well as restricting Ontario's liquor control board from buying American-made alcohol.
