Continental AG (Continental) announced that it has supplied its EcoContact 6 tires in 19 inches and WinterContact TS 850 P tires to the new Mercedes-Benz EQB, a fully electric SUV. The EcoContact 6 tires deliver high energy efficiency and superb handling and braking performance and help reduce rolling resistance by 15% compared to the previous model. The specially developed rubber compound ensures that there is less friction when the tire comes into contact with the road. The tire absorbs less energy, which reduces rolling resistance. In addition, these tires also offer cornering stability, even at high speeds. In the field of the WinterContact TS 850 P tires, these tires are equipped with numerous blocks and sipes in the longitudinal direction of the tread strip.
