Daimler to discontinue Smart EV in U.S., Canadian markets at end of 2019
On April 29, Daimler confirmed plans to discontinue its Smart brand in the U.S. and Canada at the end of the current 2019 model year.
The company cited "a number of factors, including a declining micro-car market in the U.S. and Canada, combined with high homologation costs for a low volume model.”
