Indonesian sales up 37.5% in July

Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in July were 85,131 units up 37.5% year over year.
Sales increased due to Idul Fitri holidays. In 2016 Idul Fitri holidays were in July in 2017 while Idul Fitri holidays were in June.
January - July sales were up 4.2% to 618,984 units.
By automaker sales in July, Toyota was up 27.9% y/y to 31,621 units and Daihatsu was up 36.8% to 14,618 units. Honda was up 36.2% to 12,677 units. Suzuki was up 100.9% to 10,126 units. Mitsubishi (including Fuso trucks) was up 47.0% to 8,345 units.
